NANO DIESEL AIN’T COMING ANYTIME SOON, INSTEAD HOW ABOUT THE NANO CNG, SAYS TATA!

Bad news first. The Tata Nano Diesel might not see a commercial launch anytime too soon with word emerging from Tata Motors that the diesel variant is at least a year away from a launch. While this would come as a bummer to many a prospective owner of the  Tata Nano Diesel, there’s still some cheer left. Tata Motors has put together a CNG variant of the Nano, and with CNG being much cheaper than petrol could still be a very sensible option for folks who want a very frugal and eco-friendly form of four wheeled personal transport.

TATA ARIA SALES TANK TO THE LOWEST EVER MONTHLY NUMBERS OF 140 UNITS: MAHINDRA XUV500 EFFECT?

The Tata Aria is now available in a cut price two wheel drive version and Tata will soon launch an automatic gearbox variant of the Aria. The sales of the Aria though, don’t seem to be picking up after the sporadic increase in sales just as the two wheel drive of the Aria was introduced a few months ago. Even though Tata Motors has done very well in November, with sales showing a big improvement, the Aria has been a dud performer for Tata, by registering sales of a paltry 140 units, its lowest monthly numbers ever. On the other hand, the Mahindra XUV500 has managed to garner over 8,000 bookings within days of its launch.
