Honda is turning up the heat in India big time and as many as 7 new or refreshed products have been announced by Honda 2 Wheelers for the Indian market in 2012. Of these 7 products, two products are CBU imports. The 2012 Honda CBR1000RR sportsbike and the Honda VT1300CX cruiser are two motorcycles that were unveiled at the Honda pavilion in Pragati Maidan t the 2012 Auto Expo a while ago.
HONDA CBR150R SURPRISE LAUNCH AT THE 2012 INDIAN AUTO EXPO ALONG WITH 110CC DIO AND 110CC DREAM YUGA MOTORCYCLE!
Honda has pulled off a big surprise by launching the 150cc Honda CBR150R for the Indian market at the 2012 Indian Auto Expo. This motorcycle is more like a smaller Honda CBR250R will plenty of body panels and parts shared with its bigger engined sibling. The Honda CBR150R’s design too is very similar to the CBR250R and this motorcycle has already made its debut in South East Asian markets some time ago.

The wait is finally over as Honda took the wraps of its 2012 model Honda CR-V crossover. The excitement over the CR-V is particularly high back home in India since, the crossover will be coming to India and we could see the car probably being showcased at the 2012 Delhi Auto Expo. The CR-V has been in India for quite a while and has been recently losing out to its competition. However, the picture could change over the next year when the Honda CR-V is expected to make its India debut.

2012 HONDA CR-V SANS CAMOUFLAGE, DASHBOARD INCLUDED!
The much awaited 2012 Honda CR-V is coming to the Los Angeles Auto show later this year and Honda has promised that the car will debut as planned before. The devastating floods in Thailand had raised doubts over the launch of the new CR-V. However, Honda has played down the baseless speculations and announced that the CR-V will in fact arrive as planned. Which is good news if you are in the United States since, the 2012 Honda CR-V will be launched for the American market to start with.

In a year of back to back natural calamities hitting life and property hard, Japanese automaker Honda’s Thailand factories have been submerged due to the spate of floods that the South East Asian country has experienced. Thailand, which is a regional hub for Honda to source many parts has been hit very hard by the floods which has left over 350 people dead and hundreds missing. These floods have resulted in Honda’s parts supplies being disrupted.

HONDA BRIO SMALL CAR TURNS OUT A STRONG PERFORMANCE BY BAGGING 5,000 BOOKINGS!
Honda will boost production of both the Brio and the recently repositioned Jazz Hatchbacks in the coming days. The reason for this production boost is the fact that both the recently launched Brio Hatchback and the repositioned Jazz Hatchback are showing stiff demand from car buyers despite not having diesel engined options. The Honda Brio is Honda’s latest product yet for the Indian market and is one that Honda is betting big on. Honda recalls 72,115 City cars for power window switches defect!
Honda Siel Cars India recently announced a recall of 72,115 Honda City Sedans produced between 2005 and 2007 switches to replace defective power windows. This move by Honda India comes as part of a global recall that span across more than 900,000 cars. Honda has announced a recall of 962,000 cars worldwide, with most of them are Honda Fit / Jazz hatchbacks. Honda has recalled more than 72,000 sedans city in India to the faulty power window switches replaced.

Honda City Regains sales over Verna and Vento
Months ago, the Honda City was struggling to sell with the Volkswagen Vento ,first, and then the Hyundai Verna Fluidic comprehensively outselling Honda’s flagship model. A price cut of INR 66,000 however seems to have turned the tide for the Honda City Sedan, which was losing ground rapidly due to it being overpriced for the features it offered.

THE FACELIFTED HONDA JAZZ’S SUPERB PRICING AND ITS IMPLICATIONS FOR HONDA!
Over the past couple of years, Honda seemed to have lost the plot in India completely. Over reliance on the petrol model portfolio along with premium pricing saw sales dwindling rapidly even as the double whammy of the Japanese Earthquake and Tsunami earlier this year meant that the automaker was facing an uphill battle not just in India, but globally as well. Adding to Honda’s woes, a recall of its flagship model, the all new Honda City, over faulty valve shims only compounded thee brand’s problems in India and raised question over Honda’s premium pricing for the perceived quality it offered. Things however have changed rapidly over the past couple of months, and have taken a very positive turn.

HONDA JAZZ FACELIFT LAUNCHED AT RS 5.5 LAKH EX-SHOWROOM DELHI
Honda launched the new Jazz facelift in Delhi today. The new facelift version will be available in three variants; S, Select and X. The sweetest part of the news though is the pricing. The base Honda Jazz S is priced at Rs 5.5 lakh ex-showroom Delhi. The top-of-the-line Jazz X on the other hand is priced at Rs 6.06 lakh, while the mid-range Select comes with a price tag of Rs 5.75 lakh.

Now, we have yet another humdinger from Honda. Wait for it, Ladies and Gentlemen, the Honda Jazz’s price has been cut by a whopping 1.75 Lakh Rupees depending on the variant. And you heard it first, right here on autoatclick! And this story could have massive implications for Honda as a brand in India, mostly positive of course. Just over a year ago, Team IndianCarsBikes questioned the pricing strategy of the Honda Jazz and many other Honda products in the Indian market. Now, we’re slowly seeing the Honda story unravel even as sales have been plummeting across it’s Indian model range. The Honda Accord is a car that gained a great deal of popularity in United States since it was introduced in 1976. The car has been extensively redesigned and introduced in the Indian market.
