The Hyundai Hexaspace MPV concept, going by the codename HND-7 was one of the big attractions at the Hyundai pavilion at the 2012 Indian Auto Expo. The Hyundai Hexaspace concept marries functionality to a unconventional design to squeeze in an extra seat. The Hyundai Hexaspace has hexagonal seats which an be moved around to suit the requirements of accommodating more passengers. As a result, as many as 8 people can be accommodated in the Hyundai Hexaspace.
Coming to the Hexaspace’s other aspects, the MPV is still in concept stage and production plans remain sketchy the the moment. The Fluidic design philosophy has been the backbone of this MPV’s design and the Hexaspace is powered by a 1.2 liter turbo petrol engine that also gets Hyundai’s gas direct injection technology. The turbopetrol GDI engine is mated to a six speed automatic transmission.

The Hexaspace measures 4,300 mm long, 1,820 mm wide and 1,647 mm high, thus making it an ideal competitor of the Ertiga if at all Hyundai decide to produce this concept. If Hyundai does indeed put the Hexaspace into production, expect plenty of changes in the car including the seating layout, which is futuristic at best.
