DUCATI MONSTER 795 LOCO VARIANT LINED UP FOR A LAUNCH AT THE AUTO EXPO ON 6TH JANUARY, 2012!

The Ducati Monster 795 is the low cost variant of the super popular Ducati Monster. Ducati India will launch this iconic motorcycle tomorrow and the notable part about this motorcycle is that it sheds some exotic materials in order to be priced lower. The signature Ducati double sided swing arm gives way to a more conventional double side unit.

Other bits and pieces that will be locally sourced from Thailand, where this motorcycle will also be assembled through completely knocked down kits means that the Monster 795 could be priced very competitively in the Indian market, with a figure under 7 lakh rupees not looking far fetched.
A nice touch by Ducati on the Monster 795 is that the Italian motorcycle maker headquartered at Bologna has chosen to retain the 802cc  air cooled Desmodue L-Twin engine on the Monster 795. This engine produces a peak power of 87 Bhp while peak torque is rated at 78 Nm.

The Monster 795 will be presented at the 2012 Indian Auto Expo, where its all important pricing will be revealed. Another big attraction at the Ducati pavilion will be that of the Ducati 848 Streetfighter. The 848 features a 849cc L-Twin engine outputting 132 Bhp of peak power and 94 Nm of peak torque.

This coupled with radical styling will mean that the 848 will be one hooligan bike you should watch out for on Indian streets soon. The Ducati pavilion will also showcase Ducati’s entire range of motorcycles including the Ducati 1198, the Diavel sportscruiser, the Hyper Motard, the Monster 796, the Multistrada sports tourer, Sport Classic, the 1099 Streetfighter and the Streetfighter S.
