Days ago, Mercedes Benz India unveiled a refreshed C-class Sedan range that has seen a comprehensive facelift with a lot of changes all around. Similarly, BMW India will being in the updated 3 Series in 2012, with an unveiling perhaps scheduled for the upcoming 2012 Indian Auto Expo. With its archrivals competing for buyers with updated versions of their cars, how can the other Teuton brand, Audi be behind.
Audi India has been caught testing the 2012 Audi A4 Sedan in Mumbai’s Marine Drive on today’s rainy morning. An alert Team-Bhpian managed to snag a couple of images of the Audi A4 Sedan being tested even as the test car disappeared after making a quick u-turn. The Audi A4 Sedan has been around for quite some time now, 4 years to be precise, without any major facelift and it is high time that the A4 Sedan goes under the scalpel to come out looking fresher.

This car could be launched in India sometime in 2012, following the internationall launch of the facelifted Audi A4 Sedan, later this year. The changes in the facelifted 2012 Audi A4 Sedan are expected to mainly be cosmetic ones. The headlamps are expected to enclose LED daytime running lights while the front grille and bumpers could see a slight design change. The interiors too are expected to be lavished with some attention to make them look and feel a little more fresher and upmarket along with an improved MMI(multi media interface) system.
Engine options are expected to remain the same with the 2 Liter TDI, 170 Bhp engine being the main volume puller for the 2012 Audi A4 Sedan. The larger, more powerful 3 liter TDI engine will be the range topper while the completely revamped 1.8 Liter TFSI engine that Audi has unveiled a while ago could also make it to the petrol variant of the 2012 Audi A4 Sedan. The engine range will be mated to Audi’s 7 speed S-tronic tranny and the Quattro all wheel drive system.
