TATA QUIETLY SLIPS IN AN UPGRADED NANO AND WE LIKE WHAT WE’RE SEEING!

Tata Nano LX Upgrade

Tata Motors is doing everything it can to turnaround the revolutionary small car, the Nano’s fortunes. The latest move in this regard by Tata is much more than just doling out discounts and attractive down payment offers. Tata Motors has actually gone on to make the Nano’s desirability quotient go up by quite a few notches by giving the frugal and inexpensive hatchback a raft of upgrades.

The upgraded Nano has been slipped into the market without much ado and all folks planning  to buy the Nano must take note of this fact to avoid being saddled with the older versions. The upgraded Nano has reached Tata dealer yards across the country and the best part about the upgraded Tata Nano is that Tata isn’t bumping up the price. With pricing remaining the same, here is what Tata has upgraded on the Nano, variant wise.
The upgraded Tata Nano CX gets,

* Black door trims with new fabric design
* New improved cushioned seats
* Glossy black colored LHS and RHS wing mirrors
The upgraded Tata Nano LX gets,
* Beige and silver panel dashboard
* Beige and black door trims
* New improved cushioned seats
* Body colored LHS wing mirror
* New Wheelcaps
So, it seems like Tata Motors has indeed taken buyer feedback very seriously and come up with these upgrades. Full credit to Tata for that. The LHS wing mirror is a vital safety bit that is now added into the equation. Existing Nano owners can also upgrade to this left hand side wing mirror by buying it as an accessory at a nearest Tata Motors dealership at 700 odd rupees. The vinyl seats of the Nano CX had the reputation of getting uncomfortable in hot weather and the fabric seats in the upgrade is something that will be very well received by prospective Nano CX owners.

The Nano’s spacious interiors take another step towards being that much more upmarket as beige is the color in what both the upgraded Nano LX’s and CX’s dashboard and interior trim will come in. Although there are reports about Tata working to reduce the noise, vibration and harshness(NVH) levels of the Nano based on customer feedback, it remains an unverified bit. Another unverified bit which has also been doing the rounds is that Tata has tweaked the ECU on the upgraded Nanos to make it more fuel efficient, with an ARAI certified fuel economy number that could now touch 25 Kmpl. Meanwhile, here is a bunch of images of the upgraded Tata Nano that we are able to bring to you courtesy a fellow forumer on Team Bhp.
