Kawasaki has released an official action video of the 2012 ZZR 1400 superbike on their Youtube channel. The new bike which also claims to be the fastest motorcycle on the planet was revealed earlier in the year. The video features a 2012 ZZR 1400 bike in classic Kawasaki green. Like any commercial should be the video focuses primarily on the bike and hence the background is edited to a monotone making the bike standout. I really did not get the whole plot of the video. If you guys understand what’s going on in the 2 min long clip then please drop in your comments below.

Still, here is how the plot goes. A couple has been pictured riding down a mountain road to an airfield. Where there is lightweight stunt plane waiting for them. The chap on the bike gets in to the plane while his girlfriend watches him fly. Then, all of a sudden he spots a the bike on the runway. Now the bike isn’t ridden by his girlfriend, mind you. Then its just a few action shots of the bike, really. I still think the clip is quite intriguing and so I thought its best I share with you guys. See if you can find some logic. Anyway, that’s it about the video.
Coming to the bike, the ZZR 1400, as the name suggest is a 1400 cc bike that rivals the Suzuki Hayabusa. In my opinion, the Kawasaki does have the upper hand when it comes to styling. It looks way better than the ‘busa which frankly looks like a partly melted hunk of plastic. That said, the 1400s will never really win a beauty contest when the 1000s and the 600s are around. The 1400s are just too long and bit too hefty. For some, the sheer speed of these things probably makes up for the way they look.
The Kawasaki ZZR 1400 is also claimed to the fastest accelerating production motorcycle. The big, hefty bike derives the punch from a 1441 cc, inline-4 cylinder engine that nice mid-range torque which accelerates the bike from 0-100 kph in a blink of an eye. The bike is built around an aluminium monocoque frame which has been redesigned on the 2012 model. Apart from all this, the bike packs the latest electronic gubbins that include safety features like traction control and ABS. The traction control can be set according to ones choice and has three preset settings- full, medium and low.
