THE 2012 HYUNDAI I20 FLUIDIC HATCHBACK, IN TEAM ICB’S RENDER!

Here is Team ICB’s render that our roving eye in the sky, EarthFusion, has delivered to us. Many versions of the Fluidic i20 are being tested all across the world including India. We anticipate the i20 Fluidic to be more of a mid career makeover than a full model change, with the same platform being retained when Hyundai fuses the Fluidic fromt end design with the rest of the car. The spyshots too seem to indicate this to be the case as very little of the exterior’s shape seems to have changed. Other reports also claim that Hyundai is working on a comprehensive full model change for the i20.
2012 Hyundai i20 Fluidic Facelift Render
For now though, this is out rendering on how the facelifted i20 will look. The typical hexagonal grille, which has come to be the mjor design element of every Fluidic design occupies the pride of place on the front. The headlamps too get flared. The overall shape of the car though, especially from the side profile remains very similar to the current i20. Going on to the rear end, the tail lamps are expected to be changed and so is the rear bumper design. The interiors too are expected to get the Fluidic treatment with a new dashboard design.
Hyundai is facing plenty of competition in the premium hatchback segment with the new Maruti Suzuki Swift coming to dominate the field, by being a best seller, selling many times that of the competition. The petrol hatchback space too has the now repositioned Jazz that is giving the i20 a tough fight. So, it would be a good time for Hyundai India to keep the i20 fresh and current by launching the facelifted model. The facelifted Fluidic model can keep things ticking until the full model change will arrive, hopefully with a host of improvements like a better steering and better handling for starters.
