Rolls Royce Motor Cars has shifted to a larger showroom situated on Mathura Road, New Delhi. The new showroom space can accommodate five cars and has been designed to Rolls Royce’s latest international standards. The spanking new facility replaces the retail space at Connaught Road. The new showroom boasts of over 700 sq. m of space including a customer lounge built to Rolls Royce’s specifications.
Customers will now be able to customize their cars by choosing from the variety of wood and leather samples from the Home of Rolls Royce in Goodwood, England. As we know, the bespoke luxury limousines are handcrafted with the finest quality materials and as per individual customer specifications. The new showroom will serve to the ever growing customers of the luxury brand and is seen as a positive step in further strengthening Rolls-Royce’s presence in the country and the Asia-Pacific region on the whole.

Rolls-Royce has launched the new extended wheelbase version of the Ghost in India and will be showcased at the new showroom. The Rolls-Royce Ghost has been an enormous success and the luxury car maker hopes to build on to this popularity with a longer version the car with increased legroom. The Rolls-Royce Ghost Ext-wheelbase is priced at Rs 3.05 Crore. The price does depend on separate customer specifications and local taxes etc. The 6.6 litre V12 engine puts out 563 horsepower and 780 Nm of torque.
The massive engine is mated to a ZF 8-speed automatic transmission which allows the hefty limousine glide to a top speed of 250 kph. Even though the Ghost is actually based on the BMW 7-Series it still has all that makes a Rolls-Royce the epitome of luxury on wheels. The added legroom in the extended wheelbase version of the Ghost makes the Rolls-Royce experience even better. The Ghost Ext-wheelbase gets 170 mm more legroom than the standard version.
India is among the fastest growing markets for the Rolls-Royce brand. Currently, the United States is the biggest market in terms of sheer volumes with China being the second biggest. Japan too ranks among the top 5 markets for the bespoke luxury brand. The Rolls-Royce Phantom first made its debut into India back in 2003. In seven years of its existence in the country, the car make sold a record 2711 units which is huge achievement given the exclusivity of their product. In 2010, Rolls-Royce sold 70 units and with expansion plans in place, it hopes to increase this figure to 100 units.
“With new dealers and new product, the potential market for Rolls Royce is around 100 units this year,” said Hal Serudin, corporate communication manager, Asia Pacific for Rolls Royce.
