Tata Motors revolutionised the Indian automobile sector by its launch of the cheapest car in the country. The company will now be launching a micro hybrid variant of the Nano and this will promise better fuel economy. The car is expected to be launched in the Indian automobile market in August 2010.
Tata Nano Hybrid Specification
The Tata Nano review indicates that the car is equipped with 624cc, micro hybrid petrol engine. This engine will be able to deliver power of 33 bhp at 5250 rpm along with peak torque of 48 Nm at 2500 rpm. The length of the car is 3090mm and its width is 1487mm while its height is 1585mm. The car has a seating capacity of 4 individuals.
The car has independent gas filled struts for front while the rear has coil springs. The car has front disk and rear drum brake system. The engine of the car is mated with 5 automatic gears and the car has a ground clearance of 180mm. The engine of the car is mounted at the rear and this ensures availability of luggage space in the front. Since the engine is close to fuel tank it helps in improving the fuel efficiency.

The mileage figures for the car are not known as yet.
Tata Nano Hybrid Interiors
While the car is small its interiors have been designed in manner wherein the cabin seems spacious. The interiors have better quality materials compared to be materials used in the earlier Tata Nano cars. The interior design is such that it offers decent head room and leg space to occupants. Since the car has high seating position entering and exiting the car is quite easy. The car has air conditioner and driver’s seat can be manually adjusted.
Tata Nano Hybrid Safety features
The car has several safety features and these include seat belts, crumple zones, strong seats and intrusion resistant doors. The car has tubeless tyres and fog lamp as well.
Tata Nano Hybrid Price and design variations
The price of the car is expected to be around Rs 2.50 lakhs and the car will be available in a single design variation.

The colors in which the car will be available are not known as yet.
